Peter is the founding partner of Douros Jackson, with over 25 years’ experience in Corporate, Business and Property law.
Peter’s clients range from public companies to small to medium size enterprises. In each case he applies his experience to achieve the legal and commercial outcomes required by his clients. His aim is to establish a long standing professional relationship with each client based on trust and the delivery of high quality personalized legal services as and when required by each client.

Peter has advised in many transactions involving acquisitions and disposals of corporations and businesses (non-listed) including all aspects of contract preparation, asset transfers including intellectual property, regulatory compliance, employee issues, transaction financing and tax structuring.
As part of his corporate practice, Peter has acted on both sides of many private equity transactions. For example, Peter has acted in connection with start–up or first/second round funding transactions for various technology, e-commerce, software and telecommunications companies with work undertaken including due diligence, establishment of deal parameters, subscription agreements (ordinary and preferred shares), shareholder agreements, executive service agreements, employee share options schemes, securities laws and regulatory compliance.
Peter has significant experience and expertise in the preparation of complex commercial business contracts, such as joint ventures and partnerships, product distribution and licensing.
Peter has also had many years’ experience in handling both major commercial and residential property transactions, including leasing. He has a major practice acting for developers, including “off the plan” sales. Peter is backed by a highly efficient property team undertaking conveyancing transactions.
